How this tool works
Things that usually go wrong
- Case-Sensitive Misses in Excel: Excel's duplicate remover fails when casing differs. DataFix normalizes all email addresses to lowercase before matching.
- Trailing Whitespace in Addresses: Addresses with invisible trailing spaces avoid standard matching. DataFix trims all emails prior to deduplication.
- Losing Latest Conversion Metadata: If you want the newest signup information, select "Keep latest record" instead of the default first record.
Edge cases we tested
Safely handled without schema corruption.
Sanitized prior to processing.
Streamed via client-side Web Worker without tab freezing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this handle case differences like Test@domain.com vs test@domain.com?
Yes! All email addresses are normalized to lowercase before matching.
Can I keep the newest record instead of the oldest?
Yes. Select the "Keep latest record" option to preserve the last row for each duplicate.
Are non-email columns preserved?
Yes. The entire row corresponding to your chosen record is preserved intact.
Is my contact list uploaded anywhere?
No. All processing occurs locally within your browser memory.
