How this tool works
Things that usually go wrong
- Excel Truncating Zeros Again: Opening CSV in Excel strips zeros anew. Export as .xlsx or import as text to preserve 5-digit postal codes.
- ZIP+4 Suffixes Mixed In: Codes like 02138-1234 should not be padded to 5 digits. DataFix recognizes existing 9-digit ZIP+4 numbers.
- Typos in Alphanumeric Postcodes: Confusing 0 (zero) and O (letter) in Canadian or UK postcodes is flagged for review.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does it fix 4-digit US ZIP codes?
It prepends a leading zero so 2138 becomes valid 5-digit 02138.
Does it format UK postcodes with spaces?
Yes! It uppercases text and inserts the standard space between outward and inward codes (e.g. SW1A 1AA).
Does it support Kenyan postal codes (e.g. 00100)?
Yes. It restores leading zeros for 5-digit Kenyan postal codes (e.g. 100 becomes 00100).
Is my address data private?
Your rows never leave your browser. All processing runs in a JavaScript Web Worker inside this tab.
